KGF Chapter 2 is the only film that is still doing well in its fourth week despite all of the competition and problems it faces (Hindi). It has faced off against Heropanti 2 and Runway 34. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness didn't have much of an impact after that, except for the opening weekend, and it has now started to decline sleepily. As a result, the action-drama did well on Tuesday, earning 2.25 crores* more.

The fact that piracy hasn't gone away adds to the significance of these figures. Otherwise, anytime a film underperformed, the producers would claim that piracy was to blame. Of course, piracy exists, and in this day and age of social media, if not the full film, then at least crucial snippets begin to circulate in the thousands, courtesy of a cellphone in every hand where videos are shamelessly recorded from within the theatre.

However, these are not the concerns that deter devoted junta who prefer their pleasure on the big screen. Furthermore, because high-end multiplexes do not engage in pirated versions, the majority of money still comes from theatres if the film is good. The key is 'the right film,' and as long as filmmakers continue to invest in that, the movie business will continue to thrive, as seen by the 417.55 crores* that KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi) has earned thus far.
